Plaster, plaster everywhere and oh so hard to stick! Today was a continuation of the plastering we began yesterday. At the beginning it was moving so slowly we doubted we would actually finish the house. But, once we got moving today in concert with our hired technicians we were a well oiled machine!
The process was threefold. First, you wet the bamboo with a cement water mixture. Second, you use a trowel to place the cement plaster on the bamboo. Tricky. Third, you smooth everything over with a wooden “plunger” as they call it here in Nepal. This last job proved to be best left to the professionals, but we gave it the old college try.
home sweet home for one happy family
Incredible.
