I am currently finalizing plans to take a group to Vietnam with Volunteers for Peace Vietnam. This is another first, and I believe the project will be really exciting; I anticipate that we will be building in a community in the north of the country. Registration is OPEN! Email me globalstaci@yahoo(dot)com. Team is limited to 8 volunteers. This will be an exciting chance to support a small village that is using sustainable tourism to fight poverty.
Founded in 2005, VPV aims to promote voluntary service as a means of cultural and educational exchange to as an approach to address social issues. VPV’s vision is a world of peace, where all people live together with mutual respect, equal opportunities to develop to their full potential and respect for the environment.
TENTATIVE PROGRAM (only subject to change based on local conditions)
- March 6 | Arrival Airport transfer, check in, orientation, dinner, overnight Hanoi [Hotel LuxEden or similar]
- March 7 | Travel Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi, travel to village, neighborhood tour, overnight Hanoi
- March 8 | Intro & Work Get to know the community and begin work, overnight village
- March 9-12 | Work & Cultural Exchange Overnight village
- March 13 | Return to Hanoi, City Tour Free time, overnight Hanoi
- March 14 | Hoa Lo Museum, Thay Buddhist Temple, Quintessence of Tonkin Show overnight Hanoi
- March 15 | Travel to Ha Long Bay, Boat Cruise overnight on boat
- March 16 | Travel to Hanoi Free time, shopping, overnight Hanoi
- March 17 | Departure
$1766/per person [double occupancy in Hanoi hotel] $1962/per person [single occupancy in Hanoi hotel]

I have applied to take a Global Village Team to North Macedonia with Habitat for Humanity International. Dates are confirmed, but not the exact budget just yet. I’m expecting the range to be $1800-$2200/USD. Registration information will be posted as soon as I have it!

I am planning to return to Moshi, Tanzania to build another home with Tanzania Women Research Foundation (TAWREF) Shelter Project. Registration information will be available as soon as pricing is confirmed.
